Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated throughout the country from September 15 through October 15. Minnesota is home to a large and rapidly growing Hispanic population who have contributed in so many ways to making Minnesota a great place to live, work and raise a family.

This event celebrates and honors Hispanic individuals who have shared their rich culture and have raised the stature of our Hispanic community through their outstanding achievements.

Honoring Tony Oliva
Each year we honor Hispanic individuals who have promoted our rich culture and have raised the stature of Our Hispanic community through their outstanding achievements.

This year we are pleased honor Minnesota Twins Legend, Tony Oliva, who was born and raised in Cuba and for the past 40 years has called Minnesota his home. Tony is being honored for his outstanding achievements in baseball and for his long history of being involved in the community, doing work for so many charities, youth groups and for his devotion to the Hispanic community.
